Yasas joined 4 Life Physiotherapy in 2026. Originally from Sri Lanka, Yasas graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physiotherapy in 2020. He began his career working with professional and elite-level athletes across a variety of sports, including cricket, rugby, soccer, tennis, swimming, and basketball. This experience provided him with a strong foundation in the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries while working within high-performance environments.
After relocating to Australia, Yasas transitioned into private practice, where he has gained extensive experience managing a diverse range of musculoskeletal conditions. His clinical expertise includes the assessment and rehabilitation of pre-operative and post-operative conditions involving the hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, and spine, as well as the management of sports injuries, workplace injuries, arthritic conditions, and a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal disorders.
As a competitive athlete himself, Yasas has developed a particular passion for diagnosing and treating sports and exercise-related injuries. He adopts a holistic, patient-centred approach to care, focusing on identifying the underlying factors contributing to injury, addressing the root cause of symptoms, and developing personalised rehabilitation programs that optimise recovery while facilitating a safe and timely return to sport, exercise, and everyday activities.
Yasas is a strong advocate for evidence-based practice and is committed to continually expanding his knowledge by keeping up to date with the latest research and clinical guidelines. He believes in combining the best available scientific evidence with individual patient goals to deliver effective, high-quality care.
Outside the clinic, Yasas enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle. Whether he’s strength training in the gym, heading out for a long run or hike, or seeking out his next adrenaline-fuelled adventure, he values the physical and mental benefits of staying active and brings that same enthusiasm to helping his patients achieve their goals.
