Meet The Team

Susan Grober

Susan joined 4 Life Physiotherapy in 2026. Susan completed a Double degree in Physiotherapy and Exercise and Sport Science at the University of Notre Dame.

Prior to studying Physiotherapy, she worked in spatial sciences in the mining industry and took up running in 2010. After running her first marathon in 2011, she went on to have a few typical running related injuries and found many of the Physios she saw had a poor understanding of running and its benefits. Tired of being told to stop running and ‘rest’, she when back to study to find out if there was a better way.

Through her studies, she dedicated her exercise science-based research opportunities to better understanding the physiological demands of running and strength training.

On graduating, she began working in her own clinic tailoring her practice to runners – particularly trail and ultra marathon runners. With a particular focus on improving strength, for running economy and resilience.

She is currently working towards a Certificate in Menopause coaching to cater to midlife women in perimenopause and post menopause.

On weekends, you‘ll mostly find her hiking or trail running in the hills with friends (also an avid hiker, having completed a sectional end to end of the Bibbulmum track). If she’s not on the trials, she’s supporting others as a regular volunteer within the trail and ultrarunning community is WA.
