Sonya O’Hare

Podiatrist

Sonya joined 4 Life Podiatry in 2026. With 30 years of experience in podiatry, Sonya graduated from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Before relocating to Perth, she owned and managed her own private podiatry practice for 16 years. For the past 13 years, she has worked as a community podiatrist within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Sonya is passionate about podiatry and finds the profession incredibly rewarding. She is dedicated to helping patients improve their comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life. Building meaningful relationships with patients and the social aspect of her role are among the most fulfilling aspects of her work.

Her main professional interests include diabetic foot care, wound management, high-risk foot care, and geriatric podiatry.

  1. Sonya is an enthusiastic plant lover. What started as a single gifted plant has grown into a collection of more than 70 indoor plants, with most of them thriving.
  2. A passionate supporter of the Matildas, Sonya rarely misses a game and counts watching them play in Bunbury as one of her sporting highlights.
  3. Travelling with her family in their caravan is one of Sonya’s favourite ways to relax, slow down, and spend quality time together.
  4. Having played tennis as a child, Sonya remains a keen follower of the sport and enjoys watching major tournaments, particularly the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
