Podiatrist Orthotist
Merrilee has been a health care practitioner for 33 years with a Bachelor Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics (1989) and a Bachelor of Podiatry (2008) both from LaTrobe University, Melbourne, Victoria. She has practiced Prosthetics and Orthotics (P&O) in tertiary hospitals and rehabilitation facilities in Melbourne for over 20 years and developed a keen interest in restoration of function to the lower limb. Whilst working in a Multidisciplinary High Risk Foot Clinic as the P&O she was drawn to Podiatry. Merrilee ran her own Podiatry practice for 10 years in Melbourne before a tree change.
Merrilee’s interests lie in why the lower limb is functioning a certain way and how can we restore function by using mechanics. Her dual skill set has led her to a practical approach to solving lower limb and foot issues.
